Amphipods, like krill, are also similar to shrimp. They have three pairs of appendages, used for jumping, swimming, or burrowing. Most are very small, ranging from 5 and 15 millimeters long. They spend their time burrowing and creating tubes. They are typically detritivores or scavengers, eating waste off of the ocean floor.
