Crustaceans are a source of food for many animals. They have three main body regions: the head, thorax, and abdomen, similar to an insect. Most crustaceans have sensory antennae that they use to feed. They have exoskeletons and shields for their heads to protect them. They have legs that are either used for swimming or walking. The crustacean molts, meaning that they will "shed" their exoskeleton and grow a new one. When a crustacean molts, it is very vulnerable and will often seek shelter until it's new exoskeleton has hardened. Some examples of crustaceans would be crabs, lobsters, shrimp, and barnacles.
