Sea squirts are tunicates, and when irritated, expel a stream of water from their siphon. Their bodies are generally round with two projecting tubes (one that brings in water and food, another that spits it back out). Sea squirts are filter-feeders that remove plankton from the water by passing it through their pharynx. Sea squirts can regenerate damaged body parts ( but only by means of asexual reproduction)
